Thank you for making the first RS Feva Train & Race weekend for the South East such a great success! There were 15 boats for the training on Saturday and 17 boats for the coached racing on Sunday.
A big thanks also to our brilliant coaches, Flynn Davies & Jonathan Lewis, who worked really hard over the weekend to ensure all sailors at all levels were able to improve their racing skills. We’re very grateful for their time and energy that they put into the event.
All the sailors involved deserve recognition as well. Flynn and Jonathan were both very impressed by their engagement, enthusiasm, skill level and determination. Especially Staze Amber & Tilly Westbrook and Ching Wong & Elionr O’leary who were highlighted as sailors of the day. It was great to see everyone learning and having fun at the same time.
The wind conditions provided everything from strong gusts on Saturday to light wind sailing on Sunday. This made for some challenging racing on Sunday but perseverance and determination paid off for the winning boats:
First: Will Caiger and Caitlin Morley
Second: Matt Caiger and Annabel Richards
Third: Andreas Purse and Marcos Purse
Well done everyone!
We would also like to say a very special thanks to all those at Bough Beech SC who helped to ensure everything went according to plan and all hungry sailors were looked after!
We look forward to our next two events to be held at Bough Beech on 9/10 July & 13/14 August. Please let us know ASAP if you would like to attend.
Warmest regards,
Brenda & Michael Purse
