GP5 / Inland Championships 2026
Our grand finale sailed us straight to the Midlands at Draycote Water Sailing Club! With 25 fevas attending looking forward to racing with their friends, positioning in the series and getting some fleeting racing in before the Nationals!
Saturday morning saw glorious sunshine but, plot twist—no wind in sight! Sailors on the shore reviewed their rigging with the class coach Duncan west while hoping for some wind to appear.
By The afternoon, still no wind! With the AP over A flag flying, families were left to their own devices for the rest of the day.
Come Sunday morning, the sun was back, and—hooray!—a light breeze decided to join us. Sailors hit the water, and the races were on!
Race 1 – Cass Day & Harry O’Callaghan (8762) from Royal Victoria Yacht Club claiming the first win of the day. In second was the Scottish Brothers Cameron & Finlay Ritchie (5441) from Aberdeen & Stonehaven Yacht Club. Third Place went to Clarissa Jackson & Elsie Munro (8377) from St Mary’s Loch Sailing Club.

With four races completed sailors came ashore with smiles, with snapshots of joy courtesy of Jonathan Louis. Though the light conditions tested everyone’s patience, spirits remained high.
We capped off the weekend with our GP5 prize giving, sending sailors home before darkness fell.
