It was a fantastic weekend of training for South East Fevas at Queen Mary SC. A total of 10 boats and their intrepid sailors braved the icy conditions to take part.
A big thank you to our coach Chris Taylor who took time away from his busy international sailing commitments to be with us and to help our young sailors improve their racing skills.
Despite the light wind conditions and sub zero temperatures, sailors had highly productive morning and afternoon sessions on the water on Saturday and also managed to get out on the water on Sunday.
Sailors and parents very much enjoyed Chris’ talk about his personal journey and pathway from Fevas to the America’s Cup Academy Team. It was a great inspiration to all.
Thanks to all sailors for their participation and enthusiasm over the weekend and we very much look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the next two South East Feva Open Training events on 25/26 February at Queen Mary and 1/2 April at Whistable Sailing Club with the very experienced and highly regarded Feva coach, Flynn Davies.
Warmest regards,
Brenda & Michael Purse
